Mumbai : Chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar is yet to send his reply to the Indian cricket board after it sought an explanation from him on why he was continuing to write columns in newspapers despite a ban.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also sent a reminder to the other selectors, asking them to avoid writing newspaper columns.
Vengsarkar wrote columns in the Marathi newspaper owned by family members of BCCI president Sharad Pawar.
According to the board’s rules and constitution, no selector is allowed to write columns in the media.
