New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh returned Sunday morning after a three-day visit to Uganda where he had gone to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The prime minister, who returned to New Delhi Tuesday from Singapore after attending the India-Asean summit, had left for Uganda on Thursday where he held a string of bilateral meetings with Commonwealth leaders.
The 53-member Commonwealth Saturday unanimously selected India’s nominee, career diplomat Kamalesh Sharma, as Commonwealth Secretary General to replace Don Mckinnon.
