Indian team for junior World Cup badminton

New Delhi : A 12-member Indian team, including six girls, will take part in the Junior Badminton World Championship in Auckland starting Oct 24.

The 11-day championship will end Nov 4, a Badminton Association of India official told IANS.

A coaching camp started in Jalandhar Tuesday and will end Oct 22. The squad, also comprising two coaches, leaves for New Zealand the following day, said the official.

Squad:

Boys: R.M.V. Gurusai Dutt (Andhra Pradesh), Arun Nandaluri (Andhra Pradesh), Saurabh Verma (Madhya Pradesh), Ram C. Vijay (Kerala), Aditya Elango (Tamil Nadu) and K. Tarun (Andhra Pradesh)

Girls: Arundhati Pantawane (Maharashtra), Sikki Reddy (Andhra Pradesh), P.C. Thulasi (Kerala), Ashwani Ponnappa (Karnataka), Nitya Sosale (Karnataka) and Ruth Misha (Karnataka)

Coaches: Sanjiv Sachdeva (Tamil Nadu) and Surender Mahajan (Haryana)
