Iraqi Deputy PM to meet UK’s conservative party leader

London : Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Barham Saleh expressed on Wednesday optimism concerning Iraq’s developments and issues of bringing security and stability to the country.

Saleh’s comment came after meeting with United Kingdom’s Leader of the Conservative Party and Opposition David William Donald Cameron.

Saleh who also met the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that they’re witnessing a positive progress on the security situation in Iraq.

Saleh added that if the Iraqi government took full control it will be able to control violence in the country, noting that they are witnessing big improvements in various parts of the country.

For his part, Cameron was briefed by the Iraqi official on the latest developments in Iraq particularly progress that was made since his last visit to southern Iraq last year.
