Mumbai : In a daring daylight robbery, four men looted a petrol pump at Oshiwara in northwest Mumbai Monday, police officials said.
Police sources said that the unidentified robbers came to the petrol pump at about 9.30 a.m. in a Maruti car. They threatened the attendants with cleavers and decamped with about Rs.500,000.
Oshiwara is a densely populated area with heavy traffic at all hours. Observers were surprised that the robbers managed to escape in the four-wheeler without getting stuck in a traffic jam.
