GAZA, Oct 23 (KUNA) — Palestinian fighters engaged in a ground fight with Israeli troops and fired rockets in the direction of Israeli targets.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the mainstream Palestinian movement, Fatah, said in a statement released on Tuesday that a group of fighters from the faction clashed with an elite Israeli force near the town of Beit Hanoun, late on Monday.
The Israeli troops suffered casualties in the firefight after they were ambushed by the Palestinian fighters, it said.
