New Delhi : Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) N. Gopalaswamy will visit parts of central and south Gujarat for three days from Tuesday to review preparations for the Dec 11 and Dec 16 assembly elections.
According to Election Commission sources, the CEC will meet the district election officers from Navsari, Valsad and Dangs at Surat Tuesday.
On Wednesday he will hold meetings with officers from Vadodara, Dahod, Panchmahals, Narmada and Bharuch districts. This meeting will be held at Vadodara. The CEC will return to Delhi late Nov 1.
This is the CEC’s second visit to Gujarat after the Oct 10 announcement of elections to the state legislative assembly.
