Amsrerdam : Ajax Amsterdam returned to the top of the Dutch Eredivisie football league after scoring a narrow 1-0 win over hosts Heracles Almelo in a fourth round encounter.
Meanwhile, defending champions PSV Eindhoven also won 1-0 at home Saturday night against Vitesse Arnhem, which had won all their first three matches.
After four rounds, both Ajax and PSV are on level with 10 points apiece, with Ajax at the top with goal difference. Vitesse drop to fourth.
Feyenoord, the leaders after three rounds, will have the chance to win back the leadership Sunday when they take on Roda JC Kerkrade.
Ajax gained a lucky win in Almelo after Heracles missed a penalty just before the break, which was saved by Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg.
