Srinagar : Bodies of two policemen, who were abducted from a north Kashmir village, were found by the police Friday afternoon.
Separatist militants abducted the two policemen, Nazir Ahmad and Tariq Ahmed, from village Surigam near Sogam in Kupwara district Thursday while they were on an official assignment.
“The bodies of the two cops with their throats slit were found by search teams in a jungle area near Surigam village. Security forces mounted a search operation yesterday (Thursday) after the policemen went missing,” a police officer said.
No group claimed responsibility for the abduction and subsequent killing of the two policemen.
