Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) : The manager of a sugar mill owned by the Bajaj industrial group was shot dead Friday morning by unidentified men who barged into the factory premises in Baghpat district near here.
Police said Siddharth Upadhyay was killed around 9 a.m. inside the mill compound in Kinoni in Baghpat district, about 25 km from here.
The armed men came in a red Scorpio car, stormed into the mill compound and pumped bullets into Upadhyay, the deputy general manager. They fled afterwards.
The security staff rushed the victim to a hospital in Meerut where doctors declared him dead.
