Pakistan: monitors deployed at flour mills to check supply

Islamabad : Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has deployed its staff at the 36 flour mills to monitor the supply and distribution of atta in the market.

Six vigilance teams consisting of magistrates are regulating the supply through atta dealers. Moreover nine atta sale point have also been set up in Islamabad to facilitate the consumers, the ICT spokesman said.

He said Chief Commissioner, Hamid Ali Khan assured the citizens that all available resources would be utilized to ensure the availability of 20 Kg bags in the market at the control rate of Rs. 300.

No one would be allowed to create artificial shortage of Atta in Islamabad and those indulging in black marketing would not be spared.

The Chief Commissioner has also directed district food controller ICT to improve the supply of atta in the market and further enhance the vigilance, he added.
