It has employed more than 200 technicians to expand its business not only in Poland but the whole of Europe. The operations will be done both in English and German languages.

The Bangalore-based WIPRO which had a turnover of $5 billion in 2007 is expanding rapidly.

Poland has become a favourable destination for the Indian IT sector companies. Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) and Zanser of Pune have already made inroads in Poland. Both these companies selected Poland for its strategic location and cheap labour force and both are making handsome profits.

J.J. Singh of the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce told this correspondent that “the previous ambassador Anil Wadhwa went out his way to convince Indian IT firms to select Poland as it joined the European Union. His active canvassing has brought the desired results for everyone to see.”

On his part, Janusz Krzyzowski, president of India-Polish Cultural Committee, said ” we feel very happy that India has enhanced its profile in the last four years. India is now on the radar screen for many Polish entrepreneurs and Indo-Polish trade will increase manifold in coming five years.”
