Bush Asks Congress More Funds for Wars

Washington : The US government tries Thursday that the Congress approves new funds for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but rejects the democratic proposal of including the money project to national programs.

Addressing the Senate’s Appropriation Committee, Jim Nussle, director of the White House budget, called for the Capitol to sanction a package of $108 billion to maintain those conflicts.

Nussle said that if that sum of money is approved before ending May, the US Defense Department will start expelling workforce.

However, the official rejected the democratic proposal of including billions of dollars to national programs, to improve infrastructure and boost economy.

President George W. Bush threatened some days ago to veto any proposal that includes over $108 billion requested by the Executive.

Democrat legislators denounced in the session the costs of war and its consequences for the US taxpayer.
