Kochi (Kerala) : Indian seafood varieties are being showcased at the three-day European Seafood Exposition that began in Brussels Tuesday.
The expo attracts seafood buyers and sellers from all over the world. India has sent a 100-member team of officials and seafood exporters to take part.
“Around 1,600 companies from 87 countries are taking part in the expo which offers seafood business professionals a one-stop resource to reach global retail, food-service and wholesale companies,” Sandu Joseph of the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI) told IANS.
The Marine Products Export Development Authority will organise an India event Wednesday, followed by an exclusive Indian seafood lunch for the expo participants, said Joseph.
