Patna: Refuting the allegation that he and 10 other ministers recently dropped from the state cabinet were involved in wrong practices, Monazir Hasan has sought a CBI inquiry into the assets of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his council of ministers.
The allegation against Hasan, who was heading building construction ministry, and 10 other ex-ministers has been leveled by JD (U) legislator Poonam Yadav.
In a press statement issued on 27th April, Hasan said he and other ministers dropped by the chief minister were the victims of a larger conspiracy hatched out by the coterie around him. Hasan said that the conspiracy against him began soon after he began working seriously for the minority community and their unity. He alleged that some JD (U) leaders were trying to tarnish his image by leveling unsubstantiated charges.
