Two rebels of banned group gunned down in Northeast India

New Delhi : As many as two insurgents of outlawed rebel group People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) have been gunned down by security forces in Indias Northeastern state of Manipur. The encounter took place at Bishenpur district of Manipur last night, news agency Press Trust of India reported Monday, quoting a state police source. Two arms with live magazines were recovered from the slain rebels, the source said. Manipur, bordering Myanmar, is home to 20 insurgent groups.
