“I will prove majority on the floor of the house on Aug 25,” he told reporters here.

In the 82-member house, Koda now has support of only 25 legislators.

Asked how he will manage the numbers, he said: “Options are open for the JMM. Talks are going on with JMM leaders.”

“If needed, I will go to New Delhi to meet central UPA (United Progressive Alliance) leaders.”

Governor Syed Sibte Razi Monday asked Koda to prove majority on or before Aug 25.

With JMM chief Shibu Soren aspiring to become the chief minister, his party withdrew support to the 23-month-old Koda government Sunday evening, reducing it to a minority in the state legislature.

The JMM supported the Koda government in 2006 after four Independent legislators who were also ministers withdrew their support to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government headed by Arjun Munda of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
