New Haven (Connecticut) : India’s Mahesh Bhupathi and his Bahamas partner Mark Knowles have battled past Italians Simone Bolelli and Andreas Seppi to move into the finals of $708,000 Pilot Pen Tennis tournament.
The second seeded Bhupathi-Knowles defeated the Italians 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 in a hard fought semi-final here Friday.
They now face fourth-seeded Brazilians Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa in the finals, who outplayed compatriot Bruno Soares and Argentine Lucas Arnold Ker 7-5, 6-4.
Bhupathi has last year captured the title with Nenad Zimonjic and with Knowles will be bidding for their third title of the season.
