Jammu : Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti (SASS) leaders returned to the talks venue early Sunday for further discussion with the government panel ahead of announcing a formal agreement and calling off the more than two-month-long agitation.
Samiti leaders have told newsmen that most of the issues have been sorted out including that of the “exclusive use” of 100 acres of land by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
“We are hopeful of a very positive outcome,” said Suchet Singh, one of the participants in the dialogue process.
The agitation is likely to be called off and a formal announcement is expected any moment.
Sanjay Nagpal, the leader of the Samiti, said that some minor issues needed to be sorted out and the dialogue so far has moved in a positive direction.
“We are close to clinching the issue that’s why the entire core committee has come for talks with the Governor’s panel. We have understood that most of our demands have been accepted,” he said.
