Bangladesh: Foreign Adviser Dr. Iftekhar holds talks with new Nepalese Foreign Minister

New Delhi : Foreign Adviser of Bangladesh caretaker government Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury held a bilateral meeting with the new Nepalese Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav in the Indian capital.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 10th BIMSTEC Ministerial Conference being held here on Friday evening.

Dr. Iftekhar Chowdhury conveyed warm congratulations of Bangladesh to the new government of Nepal. He assured the Nepalese minister of Bangladesh’s fullest cooperation and support.

They discussed the possible use of the Mongla Port by Nepal. For this it was decided India would be jointly approached by Nepal and Bangladesh to facilitate the road connection that will enable Nepal to use the Mongla Port.

The possibility of launching Dhaka-Kathmandu bus service was also figured prominently in the talks.
