New Delhi : Here’s some good news for all Ravi Shastri fans. They can now get in touch with the former India cricket captain through ibibo.com, a social networking website.
Shastri, who is currently in Australia as a television commentator for the Commonwealth Bank triangular series between India, Australia and Sri Lanka, will blog about each match on ibibo.com.
He will also answer questions from the ibibo community and will adjudge the winner on the basis of the most number of interesting questions asked and answered.
After the tournament, six lucky winners will get to meet Shastri in Mumbai.
“I am very excited to be a part of this initiative by ibibo.com. It will help me connect with young cricket fans across India. I have created my very own personalised space on ibibo.com and I am using blogs and sawaal as the key tools for inter-action,” Shastri said in a statement.
“The website is a platform that empowers and enables users to express themselves and connect with each other. We have entered into this exciting alliance to provide cricket fans on ibibo.com with a platform to interact with Ravi. Ibibo community will get to bond with Ravi and get recognised for their cricket expertise,” said Vivek Bahl, ibibo.com’s general manager (marketing).
Shastri, 45, played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs between 1981 and 1992. He captained India is one Test match, against the West Indies. After retirement he switched to full-time television commentary and also writes a newspaper column.
