Islamabad : President Pervez Musharraf Thursday disputed a recent survey which shows that support for Musharraf has fallen dramatically.
According to a BBC World Service poll majority of Pakistanis say stability and security in Pakistan would improve if President Pervez Musharraf resigned.
“Despite all rumours, insinuations and every type of apprehension, these elections will be free, fair, transparent and peaceful,” Musharraf said in Islamabad.
He asked all foreign organizations and those conducting opinion polls and surveys not to disturb the peace of Pakistan and the region.
He said that a recent survey about him is based on ill-intentions.
