Noida : The police in Noida Friday said they have received an e-mail threatening of terror strikes in Delhi.
“We have received a forwarded e-mail generated from Vikas Marg, New Delhi, in which the sender has threatened to blow up the national capital. The sender had used vulgar language for the police and has termed the police as pigs,” Noida Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) A. Satish Ganesh told media here.
V.K. Gupta, the inspector general of Uttar Pradesh Police, said they were inquiring into the case.
However, the police have zeroed in on a cyber café at Vikas Marg in New Delhi.
The police officials said it seems to be a case of mischief but are concerned about the security of the national capital. The police also said they have apprised the Delhi police of the threats.
The deputy commissioner of special cell of Delhi Police told IANS that the police have received intimation from the police in Noida and were looking into the matter.
