Mumbai : Indian Premier League (IPL) has invited bids for title sponsors for its inaugural tournament slated for April.
The highest bidder will have its name attached to the IPL, which will involve franchised teams for the Twenty20 tournament.
The bid document can be acquired from Friday, 10am onwards from the office of the Board of Control for Cricket in India at the Wankhede Stadium here. The bids must be submitted no later than 12 noon, Feb 6, after which the tenders will be opened by the IPL Governing Council.
The board had already awarded the IPL’s television rights to Sony Max and World Sports for a whopping $1.26 billion for a period of 10 years.
