Kolkata : State-owned Balmer Lawrie and Co Ltd Monday reported a net profit of Rs.661 million ($16.71 million) for nine months ending Dec 31, 2007 as compared with Rs.559 million ($14.14 million) for the corresponding period last year.
The profit before tax during the quarter was Rs.303 million as against Rs.286 million in the same period last year.
Profit before tax for the nine-month period ending Dec 31, 2007 was Rs.991 million as compared to Rs.839 million for the same period of 2006, a company release here said.
The total income for the quarter was Rs.3.5 billion, up by 9 percent from Rs.3.2 billion for the last year.
The total income for the nine month period stood at Rs.10.76 billion as compared to Rs.9.56 billion for the corresponding period of 2006, recording 12 percent growth.
