Gholam-Hossein Elham told reporters Saturday that Tehran is ready to talk with all countries, including member states of the Group 5 1 on its peaceful nuclear program.

He made it clear that Tehran had previously announced that it would respond to the letters sent by Group 5 1 and the European Union foreign policy chief, Javier Solana.

Iran’s response was presented to them on Friday, Elham added.

He reiterated that Iran’s stand regarding its peaceful nuclear program has not changed.

Tehran’s stand is based on the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation as well as the international regulations, he added.

Elham further announced that Secretary of Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili, is in charge of negotiations with Solana.

Iran’s package of proposals to resolve major international challenges was offered to Western countries in May and the G5 1 incentives package was presented to Iran earlier in June during a visit to Tehran by Solana.
