Beirut : Lebanese President Michel Suleiman will meet Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in Paris to discuss mutual relations, it was announced here Wednesday.
The Presidential Palace’s media office, in a press release, said that Suleiman and Al-Assad discussed in a phone call a number of issues concerning their countries’ relations and the movement of trucks across the Lebanese-Syrian border.
Suleiman expressed his appreciation for the Syrian cabinet’s decision to exempt Lebanese nationals crossing into Syria from paying entry fees.
The Lebanese president will head to Paris next Saturday to take part in the Paris summit for the “Union of the Mediterranean” and will meet Al-Assad on the sidelines of the event.
