Federer remains top of virtually unchanged ATP rankings

Hamburg : Roger Federer continues to top a virtually unchanged men’s ATP tennis rankings issued Monday followed by Spaniard Rafael Nadal, the Swiss player’s nearest challenger.

Federer leads the way with 6,600 points followed by Wimbledon champion Nadal on 6,055 with Serbia’s Australian Open winner Novak Djokovic a distant third on 4,945 points.

The only change in the top 10 is Russia’s Nikolay Davydenko moves up one place to fourth at the expense of Spain’s David Ferrer.

ATP top 10 as of July 14 (previous ranking in parenthesis):

1. (1) Roger Federer, Switzerland, 6,600 points; 2. (2) Rafael Nadal, Spain, 6,055; 3. (3) Novak Djokovic, Serbia, 4,945; 4. (5) Nikolay Davydenko, Russia, 2,970; 5.
