New Delhi : The pressure on prices is continuing but monetary measures have begun impacting on the growth of money supply, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said Thursday.
“I have met the RBI Governor (Y.V. Reddy). He said there is still pressure on prices. I am in broad agreement with him,” Chidambaram told reporters after a cabinet meeting here.
Reddy had also informed him that it would take “some time” before the monetary measures “start showing effect” on prices, Chidambaram added.
