Islamabad : The Federal Cabinet expansion is likely to take place on Thursday, July 24, with around a dozen ministers to take oath; highly placed sources confided to APP here.
Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) would take any decision at the coalition partners meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday, July 24, to be hosted by Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, the sources said on Tuesday, adding that the crucial meeting would also decide the fate of the deposed judges and rejoining the cabinet by PML-N ministers.
The PPP sources are hopeful that the PML-N ministers would rejoin the cabinet, and the PML-N ministers have not tendered their resignations to the president who is the competent authority to accept the resignations.
“Though PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif is unlikely to attend the meeting and Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif would represent him in the meeting, the PPP leadership is hopeful that the PML-N would reverse its decision,” added the PPP source.
Though most of the parties would give their final nominees in the meeting of coalition partners due to be held on July 23.
