“Particularly callous was the attack in Ahmedabad targeting the hospital where many of the relatives of the dead and injured from the first wave of bombs were gathered,” Foreign Secretary David Miliband said in a statement.

“Our thoughts are with the families of the dead and injured. The UK condemns these cowardly actions in the strongest possible terms,” he said Monday.

“They are clearly designed to divide people and communities. It is important that these deliberate provocations do not succeed,” Miliband added.

The serial bombings in Bangalore Friday left one person dead and seven injured, while the Ahmedabad blasts on Saturday killed 50 and injured over 200.
