Three American soldiers die in Northern Iraq

Baghdad : The U.S. military says three American soldiers have been killed in a small-arms fire attack in northern Iraq.

A brief statement from the military says the soldiers died Wednesday in Hawija, a restive Sunni Arab town, 240 kilometers (150 miles) north of Baghdad. It says they were assigned to Multi-National Division – North.

The soldiers’ names are being withheld until their families are notified, the Associated Press reported.
