Jakarta : U.S. Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey is slated to visit Indonesia this weekend to express support for the establishment of the anti-corruption task force inthe country, the U.S. Embassy here said Friday.
He will meet his Indonesian counterpart Hendarman Supandji and sign an agreement providing 750,000 U.S. dollars for the task force on Monday, the U.S. Embassy said in a statement emailed to Xinhua.
The former chief judge for the Southern District of New York also plans to meet with other senior Indonesian officials regarding U.S.-Indonesia joint efforts to combat terrorism and trans-national crimes.
