Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar demanded that the recommendations of Sachar Committee should be implemented immediately. He was addressing ‘Adhikar Sammelan’ organized by Sayeen community on 6th June.
He said he is trying to ensure backward Muslims’ rights and is not playing any caste politics. State’s progress lies in the progress of the backward people, he said. He said he had raised voice in Parliament to include the most backward Muslims in the Dalit reservation category. He claimed his government is working for the backward people belonging to all communities.
He said his government is also running special schemes for backward women and education of backward people. Addressing the gathering, chairman of state Minority Commission Naushad Ahmad said the chief minister is determined to ensure the welfare of backwards from all classes.
