The crossing was opened at 10 a.m. (0800 GMT) to allow the pass of trucks loaded with humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, the spokeswoman of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told Xinhua.

Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported on its website that Kerem Shalom Crossing would give green light to 20 trucks while Sufa Crossing would also open for 60 trucks with equipment and donations from Jordan and Turkey.

The reopening of the Gaza crossings came a day after IDF withdrew its ground troops from the Gaza Strip, where it carried out a five-day-long offensive that led to the death of more than 100 Palestinians.
