Islamabad : The Ambassador of Iran Masha’Allah Shakeri, along with his aides, met Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari here on Wednesday, a PPP statement said.
The ambassador discussed matters of mutual interest with the PPP co-chairman, it said.
The party deputy chief Makhdoom Amin Faheem, party leaders senator Envar Baig and spokesperson Sherry Rehman were also present at the meeting.
Sources told IRNA that Zardari expressed his party desire to have good relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iranian envoy greeted Mr Zardari over election victory.
