The projects comprise the construction and execution of three new substations on turnkey basis at Bhusaval, Khaparkheda (both in northeast Maharashtra,) and Chakan (western Maharashtra).

According to the company, the projects will distribute power from these yet-to-be-installed substations and build up additional generating capacity of 1,250 megawatt (MW) for the Maharashtra Power Generation Company Ltd (MAHAGENCO).

Chairman of Emco, Rajesh Jain, in the statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange said: “These projects are very important for Maharashtra as the evacuation of the entire additional generation capacity being added by MAHAGENCO at these locations are to be done through them. We are happy and feel privileged that MSETCL has selected us for executing these prestigious projects.”
