A division bench of Justices T.S. Thakur and Aruna Suresh Friday asked the government to treat visually handicapped applicants with more sensitivity.

The court was hearing a public interest petition (PIL) filed by the Blind Persons Association of India seeking relaxation of procedures for visually challenged students appearing in various job-related examinations across the country.

It directed the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board to examine the association’s representative and also consider such applicants’ difficulties.
