New Delhi : The new airport at Hyderabad, inaugurated by Congress president Sonia Gandhi Friday, will not start functioning from Sunday as scheduled before and the operational launch has been postponed for a few days, an official said here.
The commercial functioning of the new airport has been postponed owing to some operational problems that are being worked out, the civil aviation ministry spokesperson.
“The new date for commencing of the operation at the Hyderabad airport would be notified soon,” said the spokesperson said.
The government Thursday delayed the launch of the new airport at Bangalore by two months. It was scheduled to start operations March 30.
