No change in India’s Pakistan policy after elections

New Delhi : Indian Defence Minister A K Antony said there was no change in India’s Pakistan policy after February 18 general elections.

Talking to newsmen at the Hindustan Aeronautics complex in Nashik, a city of Maharashtra state on Saturday, he said “there was no change in our policy towards Pakistan.

Replying to a question, he said a meeting of the UPA-Left committee will be held on Monday to discuss the issues related to the nuke deal.

The Left parties are opposing the deal and they have threatened the government to withdraw their support, if government will operationalise the deal.

Meanwhile, Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said the Committee would discuss draft of the Safeguards agreement reached with IAEA. He hoped that the issue would be resolved.
