Beijing : China’s State Council, or the cabinet, Tuesday published regulations for the guidance of its employees.
They cover general principles of administration, employees’ responsibilities, implementation of decision made and transparency in government affairs, among other things.
All work should follow the principles of democratic decision-making and administration in accordance with the law, transparency, improving supervisory systems and integrity, according to the regulations.
The state council and all its departments should improve the decision-making mechanism, absorbing the opinions of the public and experts in the process, guidelines said.
According to article 27 of the regulations, besides those affairs and policies which should be kept confidential, all the decisions made by the plenary sessions and regular meetings of the state council and all the policies issued by it, should be made public.
All the affairs that involve the immediate interests of people should be published accurately in due course through government websites, communiqués and press conferences, or through newspapers, radio and television broadcasts.
The regulations were approved at the first plenary session of the new term of the state council March 21.
