Kanpur : Two criminals who allegedly tried abducting two people were lynched by a mob at Bilhaur in this Uttar Pradesh city Saturday evening.
The criminals of the Pappu Mallah gang had come to extract money from some residents. After the two people refused meet their demand, they attempted to kidnap them, police said.
But other residents thronged in support of those being kidnapped and lynched the criminals after holding them hostage, police added.
