Damascus : The Electronic Documentation of Arab Heritage conference will kick off on Monday in Damascus.
The conference organized by the Secretariat General of the “Damascus, Arab Capital of Culture 2008” festivity, the Center for Restoration of Architecture and Heritage and the Center for Documenting Cultural and Natural Heritage in Egypt, in cooperation with the Syrian Ministries of Culture and Communication and the Syrian Computer Society.
Damascus will also host on Wednesday the second meeting of the executive committee of the Arab World Memory project, during which the project’s progress will be reviewed and discussed.
The Arab World Memory project aims to document and preserve the Arab heritage memory and relay it to the coming generations using modern technology and the internet.
