Saharanpur: National president of Tanzeem Ulama-e-Haq Ahmad Khizr Shah expressed his concern over arrest of innocent Muslim youths and condemned U.P. lawyers’ decision to not defend those accused of terrorism.

Addressing a press conference on 30th May, he said refusing to plead is unconstitutional because the Constitution of India gives every accused person the right to prove innocent. He said because of the decision taken by U. P. lawyers, Tanzeem Ulama-e-Haq has decided to set up a legal cell soon. He explained that the services of competent lawyers will be available to the proposed legal cell and it will make no distinction while dealing cases of Muslims and non-Muslims.
