Mahipal Raghav, the father of Rahul who was admitted to the hospital, alleged that some doctors, including the hospital chairman, and the two security guards beat him up when he asked his ailing son be shifted to other room.

Raghav said his son suffering from dengue was admitted in a room that was stinking.

He said Naveen Chaudharuy, the chairman of Noida Medicare Centre (NMC), shouted at him after which other doctors and security guards thrashed him.

Chaudhary, Raghav said, took out a pistol from his pocket to harrass him.

“The police have registered a case under sections 394 and 307 of the IPC against Chaudhary, other doctors and security guards,” said S.K. Verma, a senior police officer.

“Two guards, Vinay Chaudhary and Dharm Dev, have been arrested while other accused are absconding,” Verma told IANS.

Chaudhary could not be contacted for his comment on the incident.
