New Delhi : Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram Tuesday said that only the Congress can give a stable government in Delhi for it is the only party that can take forward the ethos of secularism in the capital.
“Delhi is the national capital where people of different cultures live and it belongs to everybody. It is only the Congress government that can take forward the ethos of secularism and tolerance of the capital,” Chidambram told reporters at Delhi Congress office here.
The finance minister said the Congress has the first claim on the people of Delhi. He said the development works launched by the Congress in its 10-year rule here are commendable.
Chidambram said: “The capital has recorded a huge infrastructural growth in the last ten years. And people in Delhi will vote again for the Congress party to keep up the momentum of growth”.
