“World arrogance was trying to stop Iran from becoming a powerful state but since a year and half ago it has reached the conclusion that it was unable to stop the country since then they resorted to UN resolutions to secure their monopoly,” the president said.

Speaking in a live televised program, he added that adoption of such biased resolutions was a kind of “disgrace” for the UN.

On September 27, members of the UN Security Council have adopted the Resolution 1835 against Iran for its peaceful nuclear program.

Iranian officials referred to the council’s move as a show off stressing that the body has reached a deadlock in fulfilling its responsibilities.

After adoption of any resolution against Iran, the country would quickly change its political arrangement, Ahmadinejad stressed.

“The big powers have so far done everything that they could against us but we have always reiterated that we are ready to hold a fair talks” based on accepted laws, said the president.

“Maybe they even gesture with threatening Iran but they can never fulfill it,” Ahmadinejad added.

“Iran has passed through most difficult sanctions, financial and and banking sanctions in particular, they (Western powers) have failed in this stage too,” he said.
