Two held with fake stamp papers worth Rs.853,000 in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow : The police arrested two persons Friday and recovered fake stamp papers worth Rs.853,000 from their possession, the police said.

Sayed Mohammad and Sayed Israr were arrested from the Shivkuti locality in Allahabad, some 200 km from here.

“Besides the fake stamp papers, we also recovered fake postal stamps and stamp making dyes from their possession,” senior superintendent of police Allahabad, Lalji Shukla, told IANS.

“Mohammad was caught earlier for the same offence a few months ago and was out on bail,” he added.
