BJS Madhya Pradesh unit president Ashok Tripathi told reporters here that the party will organise “Suraj Sankalp” rally at Lal Parade ground here.

“Uma Bharti would address the rally to expose the anti-poor and pro-rich policies of the ruling BJP in the state,” said Tripathi, adding that 80 percent funds meant for the welfare of the poor were either being misused by the corrupt ministers or being spent for wrong propaganda about the government’s working.

“Whatever claims about people’s welfare are being made by the government in the state are mere propaganda and nothing else. Corruption is rampant from top to bottom in the present regime,” Tripathi alleged.

“People all around have been cheated during the present regime and funds meant for their welfare have been misused and the chief minister is vying to get blessings for yet another term. But this time they (BJP) will be taught a lesson,” he said.

Tripathi said the level of corruption in the state government could be gauged from the fact that complaints against 18 ministers were registered in the office of Lokayukta (ombudsman) and it is for the first time in the history of the state, perhaps the country, that a complaint against any chief minister has been made to the ombudsman.
