New Delhi: State-run gas major GAIL India has earmarked a capital expenditure of Rs.49,000 crore for 2010-14, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora said Tuesday.
The company is planning to double its pipeline length to 14,000 km and expand its transmission capacity, Deora told the Rajya Sabha during question hour.
“The commissioning of these pipelines would also entail more than doubling the present level of transmission capacity,” he said.
The approved projects are in various stages of execution, for which GAIL is also augmenting its manpower, the minister added.
